Prabhu is riding his unicycle around Roundhay Park on a 2.5mile loop, this Saturday!
It's a sponsored ride to help raise money for his Class 8 project that he chose to do... sourcing 6 Montezuma Quail eggs to raise into fully adult quails.

Hello i am doing a sponsored unicycle ride to raise money for my class 8 project ( a total of £299.99 to be exact). This money will go towards buying some montezuma quail eggs (to be ordered before 31st March) that i will be hatching for my class 8 project where I will be hatching and raising them to adulthood.
Montezuma quails are from the south-western semi-arid mountainous grasslands of America, down to Mexico, where they forage for underground tubers to eat and small seeds and insects.
They are also kept in captivity as ornamental birds though not that many people keep them as they are quite rare in captivity , especially in the uk.
They are also quite specialised birds with quite specific needs that make them quite a challenge to keep and finding websites that sell them or their eggs in the uk is very difficult, as I mentioned earlier, very few people keep them.
Also, the laws on importing eggs from abroad are very strict so I have to source them from the uk which is what I am doing.
Also, since the eggs are very rare and sought after, they are also very expensive which is why I need to raise £300 (which is the price for a box of 6 montezuma quail eggs).
Since I already keep quail, though they are the Japanese quail, which is the easiest species of quail to keep, I am not jumping straight to raising montezuma quail but doing a different species inbetween that is moderately challenging to keep though not as much as the montezuma quail (the California quail).
